Although sales are not our primary business, we do on occasion have horses for sale.  Because we are a multiple breed and discipline facility, we may have horses suitable for a wide variety of uses. Call or email for current information about our sale horses.

SPF's Big Idea--15.1 Percheron/QH Mare

Great conformation and disposition. Brandy combines the fun, forward ride of a thoroughbred with the dependability of a draftie. She is perfect for an adult amateur who would like a safe, solid, uncomplicated ride . Her dressage is lovely but requires a steady ride, she is incredibly light on her feet and catty to jump. Brandy is solid at Novice and moving up to Training- she is scopey and VERY brave with NO stop. Runs around XC like its her job- ditches, banks and water- no problem. Awesome on the ground, easy keeper, used to dogs, four wheelers, heavy equipment, kids, rides in a snaffle for all 3 phases. Brandy hacks out alone and would hunt. She is FUN FUN FUN to ride and has so much personality. She has NEVER been asked a question she couldn't answer. Asking $10,000/neg to the right home ONLY.

Mr. Mac--1999 15 hand QH Gelding

Oak Hills Big Mac, aka Mr. Mac, is an AWESOME horse for a timid rider- I trust him with my own mother, which is really saying something. He is about 15 hands, 12 years old, sound, sane, up to date on everything and TOTALLY TRUSTWORTHY. He has been used for lessons, the guest horse on trails, everything.

He knows basic dressage, neck reins, jogs and will lope, but its a little rusty. He rides out on the trail bareback and in a halter, alone or in groups, crosses water, has been through the Rutherford Mounted Patrol desensitization clinic. Everyone who rides him- new to riding or otherwise- comments on how smooth his trot and canter are- he is easier to sit than post! Mac will jump and is trained to do so but really does not enjoy it. A non-jumping home would be best, but he is glad to trot over poles and some low cross rails. He is just as good with itty bitty kiddies and he is adults.

We would LOVE to keep this horse in the barn, but his owner is regretfully offering him for sale. Mac is a one of kind horse that you cannot pass up if you're new to riding or wanting to regain some confidence in the saddle. He will ONLY go to the best of homes and his price is negotiable to the absolutely right home. $5000/obo

"Piggy"--1995 13 hand Pony Gelding

"Piggy" is a teenaged pony that has sadly been outgrown by his sweet little girl. He is just under 13 hands and is chestnut with four white socks, a star and a HUGE snip that goes half way up his adorable little face.

He is looking to for his next kid to teach the ropes to- he is the best D-pony you could imagine. He has been to several Midsouth Pony Club Rallies at the KHP- both eventing and dressage, countless local and in-barn schooling shows. He has excellent ground manners, a to-die-for personality and is tremendously well-behaved under saddle. His teeny rider uses a snaffle and is totally reliable in our not-enclosed, grass arena. He is our barn favorite!

Piggy is the best "first" pony for a first jump, first horse show, first canter... He never does anything unexpected or ugly. He was purchased by his "kid" three years ago and has made her a very well-rounded, confident rider. She has never had a bad experience on this wonderful pony AND he usually comes home with blue ribbons.

He is happy to step or trot over poles and cross rails, but will canter up to 2' courses if asked. He pops through fairly complicated gymnastics without batting an eye. His dressage is quite lovely for a teeny kid's pony. $5000/neg

Vanna--1999 14.2 Paint/Arab Mare

Vanna is a fun, easy to ride, all around type horse. She does well at combined tests, hunter shows and LOVES cross country, although she has not had much experience. She is very game and responsive, though still a little green. I have used her with my youngest riders for lessons and they thoroughly enjoy her. While she is not a bombproof, been there done there pony, she is a lovely prospect and reliable enough that I would recommend her for a strong beginner rider who is working with an instructor.

She trail rides alone and in groups, has excellent ground manners and falls asleep in cross ties or tied to the side of a trailer. She is a great size for a family horse and is unlikely to be outgrown quickly! She has the potential to event up through novice and possibly higher, she is incredibly balanced and responsive to leg- she is offering flying changes when she feels unbalanced. Vanna is for sale to the right home or can be leased. If she stays at Southern Promise Farm a part lease is an option! $3000/neg

"Moose"--2003 14.1 Arabian Mare
